About the Trainer

Elizabeth “EJ” Babcock, LPC-S, is a Licensed Professional Counselor and Approved Clinical Supervisor with over 20 years of experience in mental health practice, supervision, and clinical leadership. Throughout her career, EJ has worked extensively with children, teens, young adults, and families across a variety of settings, giving her a strong foundation in ethical practice, risk management, and clinical decision-making.

EJ brings significant experience navigating ethical and legal considerations in both in-person and telehealth environments. Her work has included providing services in alternative school settings, collaborating with foster and adoptive families, and partnering with community organizations, each requiring careful attention to confidentiality, informed consent, documentation, and client safety. These experiences inform her practical, real-world approach to telehealth ethics and clinical best practices.

As a supervisor and clinician, EJ emphasizes thoughtful assessment, professional boundaries, and client appropriateness when delivering services remotely. She is particularly skilled in helping clinicians think critically about clinical judgment, emergency planning, and adapting interventions to meet client needs within a telehealth framework.
