Michalene Perry, LPC, NCC
Licensed Professional Counselor
You may feel stuck in patterns you’ve tried to change again and again—reacting in ways that don’t match who you want to be, feeling trapped in cycles of anxiety, depression, substance use, or emotional overwhelm. Maybe your past still feels present, shaping your relationships, your mood, or your sense of self. If you’re parenting a child with defiance or intense emotions, you may feel exhausted, confused, or unsure how to help while also trying to hold yourself together.
I work with adults, children, and families navigating trauma, mood and personality disorders, anxiety, depression, substance use, and the lasting effects of childhood experiences. My approach is trauma-informed, compassionate, and practical, focused on helping you understand why these patterns developed and how to gently build new ones. Together, we work on emotional regulation, breaking trauma loops, strengthening coping skills, and creating meaningful, sustainable change—at a pace that feels safe and collaborative.
Healing doesn’t mean “fixing” yourself; it means learning to respond to your inner world with understanding and care. You don’t have to do this alone. If you’re ready to explore new ways of coping, reconnect with your values, or support your child while also caring for yourself, I invite you to reach out today to schedule an appointment. I look forward to working with you!

about me
I was born and raised in Pennsylvania and eventually learned that sunshine and warm weather feel like home to me. I’m a parent to two daughters, which has deeply shaped my appreciation for growth, resilience, and the importance of compassion—both for ourselves and for one another.
Outside of my work, I’m passionate about music and creativity, with a special love for musical theater, travel, and experiencing new cultures. I enjoy trying new foods and staying curious about the world, values that also inform how I show up in the therapy space—with openness, respect, and a genuine interest in each person’s unique story.
My path into mental health began in nursing, driven by a fascination with the human body and brain. While working in an office setting within psychology, I realized I could merge two things I deeply value: understanding neurobiology and helping others heal. This foundation shapes my therapeutic style, which blends evidence-based, brain-informed approaches with creativity, curiosity, and a deep respect for each client’s lived experience.
