Ready to Better Understand the Science Behind Trauma?
Join us for an engaging 3-hour clinical training, The Alarm That Won’t Turn Off: The Neurobiology of Trauma and Chronic Stress, presented by Michalene Perry, LPC, NCC. Designed specifically for mental health professionals, this training will deepen your understanding of how trauma and chronic stress reshape the brain and nervous system while providing practical, neuroscience-informed strategies to improve treatment planning and client outcomes.
Trauma affects much more than memories. It changes the way the brain processes information, responds to perceived threats, regulates emotions, and forms relationships. Understanding these neurobiological changes allows clinicians to move beyond asking, “What’s wrong with this client?” and begin asking, “What happened to this client’s nervous system?”
Through interactive discussion, real-world case examples, and practical clinical application, you’ll gain a deeper understanding of trauma neuroscience and leave with tools you can immediately incorporate into your clinical practice.
Why Attend This Training?
Understanding the neurobiology of trauma changes the way we conceptualize clients and the interventions we choose.
Clients living with the effects of trauma often experience persistent hypervigilance, emotional dysregulation, memory difficulties, chronic stress, and survival-based behaviors that can seem confusing without an understanding of how trauma impacts the brain.
Whether you work in private practice, healthcare, schools, or community mental health, this training will help you better understand the brain’s response to trauma while strengthening your ability to develop effective, trauma-informed treatment plans that support lasting healing.
