About the Trainer

EJ Babcock, LPC-S, is a seasoned mental health professional with over 20 years of experience working with children, teens, and young adults. EJ has dedicated her career to helping youth navigate emotional challenges and life transitions. Her specialized training as a Trust-Based Relational Intervention (TBRI) Practitioner allows her to use a combination of play therapy and emotional expression techniques to help children and teens build confidence and communicate more effectively with the world around them.

EJ’s approach is deeply rooted in understanding the emotional needs of young people. She’s particularly skilled in working with children who struggle with overwhelming emotions and teens dealing with anxiety. As a trained practitioner in Accelerated Resolution Therapy (ART), she offers a powerful and unique way to help clients replace traumatic images and negative mental patterns with positive, empowering visuals, helping them manage their emotions more effectively.

Having worked in a variety of settings—such as alternative schools, with foster and adoptive families, and collaborating with community organizations—EJ brings a broad perspective to her work. Her goal is always to empower both clients and their families with the tools they need to feel confident and connected, whether it’s learning how to cope with anxiety, dealing with life transitions, or helping young people find their voice in a world that can sometimes feel overwhelming.

Her deep understanding of the unique needs of youth, combined with her practical experience and ongoing commitment to learning, makes her a trusted expert in the field of adolescent mental health.
